This is the first page of my brawler comic, this is the rough draft/mock up. I like the designed of the characters and the layout of this page, I just have to finish drawing that upper panel of the alley. The photo is merely for reference.

I'm probably going to drop the bricks background as well, it kind of doesn't fit, same with the bandanna pattern. I'll either do it by hand, or do something else. I was also thinking of doing that starburst lines effect that is so common in manga for these introductory shots of the two brawlers. Any thoughts would be great.

For those that didn't read the blog, this comic is supposed to be a "no-brainer" exercise where I just draw two pages of thumbnails at a time, then move on to taking it to the final page as quickly as possible. The comic is supposed to pay homage to those great classic brawlers like Streets of Rage, Final Fight, and Double Dragon.

I changed the top, I think this angle is more dynamic. The progress of page two can be seen in my journal. Any opinions?
