I can't draw Wolverine

Tue Aug 11, 2009, 1:16 AM
So I tried drawing Wolverine for an hour and a half last night. Drew about a dozen Wolverine heads, and none looked right. They looked more like Harvey Birdman. I don't know what the trick is to get his mask to look masculine. Grr. I'm sure someone will ask me to draw Wolverine tomorrow at that event, and I just don't want to suck!

Precisely why I drew all those sketches of him before the Free Comic Book Day. Of course, I was expecting Wolvie to be super popular on FCBD, and I ended up only drawing one.

Both him and Spiderman are 2 characters I'd be happy never having to draw in my life. Though you could always just leave off the mask and make him the "movie" version. :)

I was just going to suggest maskless Wolvie. Fun to draw his big pointy hair too.

I accept commissions! If you're interested, please send me a note.

Are you kidding me? Harvey Birdman is far more manly than Wolverine!

Spidey is someone I've drawn since I was little. As long as I have a reference for the costume, I usually do pretty well.

I think I have Wolverine down now, we'll see tonight...
